Adam Lambert performing at 2009 American Music Awards

It looks like the American Music Awards have gone “American Idol” crazy this year, with the likes of Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson and of course Adam Lambert, all due to perform at this year’s event, which airs on November 22nd on ABC.

According to reports from orlandosentinel.com, Adam Lambert was apparently the first “Idol” contestant to be announced, with the others announced after. Adam reportedly helped Snoop Dog and Paula Abdul announce the nominations recently as well.

Adam “reportedly” helped Snoop Dog and Paula Abdul announce the nominations? Video is easily available online; it’s certainly easy enough to check. And yes, he did help announce the nominations, and was indeed the first Idol contestant announced to perform in the telecast (he was actually in the first group of all performers announced – the day the nominations were announced).

    Apparently?? Reportedly?? LOL

Yes Marie – this was the first thing I noticed too. This news is almost 2 weeks old, but APPARENTLY this author, Tina Chubb, has problems believing it.

No Tina – this isn’t ALLEGEDLY – this is FACT! Adam, Paula and Snoop Dog were ON TV, Adam & Paula both tweeted about it – and at least FORTY other entertainment AND mainstream media outlets have reported it.

Glad you finally caught up – this is OLD NEWS!

I so look forward to seeing Adam on the AMA awards show. It’s great to see him get the recognition he deserves after entertaining hundreds of thousands of people around the country on the Idols Live tour, not to mention his outstanding performances on American Idol. It’s an honor to perform on the show and I look forward to the day that Adam gets an award himself.

Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry are all very talented entertainers, and so are many thousands of artists around the world, but very few, in fact rarely, do singers/performers like Adam Lambert come along…America is so lucky to call him their own. Wendy from Australia.

OMG! What in the world was his performance on the AMA’s supposed to be? As a great fan of his, to this point, I’m stunned and repulsed!!! THAT performance was soooo disappointing and definitely an insult to his talent!!
Now, I have to decide if I even care to purchase his first album! And what ever happened to decency on prime-time TV?!?!?! ABC should be reprimanded.
