I really felt for this guy. It is not his make-up to do such a thing. If it was, he would not have been able to succumb to whatever this woman said to him. He did not want to commit this crime, it was only pressure that lead him to this. I really felt bad for him. He only wanted to help his family. He does not deserve to go to jail, but I guess he must pay for what he did. The intention was there. Hope all goes well for him.

Wonderful! Although I glad she was not hurt I think she did the right thing. As much as people hate to see it some people simply have made some very bad choices in their lives.

God bless his soul ! People are in hard times right now and are desperate. God touch his heart. I wish I could help him

after seeing this young man on the oprah show i felt so bad because this man has some decency and some heart still inside but give him 9 years in the joint and see what comes out. I don’t know law but I know justice and if there is any left in this country the judge will grant this young man liencey and that would be for the sake of us all.

This is so bizarre and ridiculous. This robber and invader is being glorified because he stopped to pray? Now it is on Oprah and they are thinking of a movie? This guy is being turned into a hero???? This is not a good thing at all just because he changed his mind and it was not because of God. He just decided he was caught and didn’t want to spend a lot of time in jail. Take the prayer out of this equation and there’s no story right?

Unbelivable! This lowlife commits an armed robbery and you people feel sorry for him?? If you watched the interview, then you heard him admit that he had robbed another woman the day before. I don’t care how desperate you are, no one has the right to stick a gun in someones face!!! Oprah Winfrey should be ashamed of herself for putting this scumbag on national television and trying to make him out to be yet another victim of society!! Disgusting!!

  • Denise Williams

I pray for Greg and will continue to pray for him. I truly pray that he gets a good and decent judge that will have mercy. That is what he needs is MERCY. Get away from the nagging woman and suppot his child.

  • areukiddingme

Are you KIDDING me????? He robs a business, and not the first robbery he’s committed, prays with the clerk, and goes on “Oprah Winfrey”????? I wonder if he was paid the stardard fee for appearing. I pray EVERYDAY and nobody from Oprah’s show is trying to contact me.

  • Forgive

@ Sailor Jay, had it been you, I dont’ think that you would appreciate someone calling YOU a lowlife. People make mistakes daily.. and I am sure you havent’ always been the pilar of society and neither have I. NO, it was not his first time, however neither time did hurt anyone. When people’s backs are against the wall you never know what they might do. God forbid you look in your daughter/sons face and realize you will be on the streets. No excuse for what he did, lowlife NO… DESPERATE… YES
