World Series 2009: Hope for day game

For a long time now, the World Series has been played at night, under the lights. In fact, the last time the World Series was played in the sun, was 25 years ago in 1984, when Detroit defeated the San Diego Padres and won the World Series.

And according to The Associated Press, baseball’s commissioner Bud Selig says that he wants a game in the daylight for a change. But on the other hand, he has acknowledged the fact that he may never get the changes that he is really hoping for.

In a recent telephone interview with Associated Press, Selig said that he grew up watching the World Series in the afternoons, during the ‘40’s, ‘50’s and ‘60’s. That is why he said it has been a favorite subject of his over the previous years.
