Larry Johnson Apologizes: NFL Investigates Gay Slur

Larry Johnson the Kansas City Chiefs running back has issued an apology on Tuesday regarding his use of a gay slur, but was told to stay away from the team while the NFL and the Chiefs complete their investigation.
Just as Johnson was releasing his apology, a national gay rights advocacy organization called on the league and the team to take disciplinary action against him. The incident began on Sunday night, when Johnson questioned Coach Todd Haley’s football credentials on his Twitter account.
He made his comment during an exchange with one of his Twitter followers. He then used the slur again a day later as he brushed of reporters, according to the Kansas City Star.
Johnson Holds the all-time NFL record for single season rushing attempts. This is not the first time Johnson has been in trouble the running back has been arrested four times since 2003 on various assault charges against women.
