Alan Ogg Died Sunday: Former Miami Heat player

A moment of silence as we take off our sweatbands, stop bouncing our basketballs and stop tracks in our squeaking trainers to remember the life of former Miami Heat center Alan Ogg, who died Sunday at the age of 42.
Ogg, who throughout his career had a heart-condition was taken to UAB Hospital and died due to complications that arose from a heart valve infection. He is survived by his wife, Nita, stepdaughter, Deelana Foshee Borden (Barry), grandchildren, Lexi, Alena, Barron and Alyssa and two uncles, David (Deborah) Vines and Mike (Phyllis) Vines.
The former Miami, 7ft 2in center still holds the record as UAB’s block shots per game is 2.2, and finished his career in 1990. Within 123 games he averaged 6.4 points and 4.2 re bounds.
