When the New York Yankees entered the field in last night’s game 6 of the 2009 World Series, thousands of Yankees fans were watching. Whether it was in the stadium, at home or with their friends, they were still watching.
And they were still watching, when the Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 and were announced as the 2009 World Series Champions. They may have still been watching when Hideki Matsui won 2009 World Series MVP.
And as you can imagine, they went mad. Fans in New York City were seen in bars jumping up and down and cheering. And the same can be said with people in Times Square, clapping, cheering and waving their arms in the air.

it is ashame this team won. the fans and the players showed a pitiful celebration. when the phills won last year the team and city had a genuine celebration. i as a phillie fan can just tell how waterdown this celebration was. it did not seem real.with their 10 trillion dollar payroll they should win every year. Next year the phillies will go to their 3rd straight world series and win it.
to you it might of looked like watered down celebration cheesesteak, but the truth of the matter is phillies fell short of back to back, its funny how when you guys lose you guys come up with any little excuse why we won lol.sorry rocky there’s only 1 champ thats the yankees swallow it .
