He may of won by points but in all i don’t think he deserved to win, fair enough he used his brain it dont’t take a genius to know that valvenue would never catch david if he defensive. he ran circles round him. fair enough he used tactics to beat him but that not what we wanted to we wanted to see to athletes going at it. that would of pleased the crowd.
In all was a boring match!
    Peace

The best most skillful boxer won the fight. No point being big, tall and heavy if you can’t catch your opponent.
The audiences who prefer to see blood drop may be disappointed but in my opinion this does not mean Haye didn’t deserve to win.
Why should the other guy win? All he did was stand there punching the air, there’s no skill in that.

Boxing is about who can land a punch and who can dodge a punch, KO’s are bonuses.

Haye you done us proud son.

  3. Ivan Kolorov says:

Of course Haye deserve win. Nikolai most time was waving big fists in air but Haye was actually hitting!

What makes me laugh is that some are even questioning that David deserved to win that. When Dirrell ran around and held, tripped, complained, turned his body etc when fighting Froch these same people loved those tactics (LOL although their illegal).
David did not hold but used his speed to avoid the big man. Haye broke his hand in the 2nd and probably would of KO’d Valuev in the 12th if it wern’t for the ref jumping in.
David done himself and the UK proud…

I had the fight very close and like many didn’t like the way Haye won the fight.
True Haye got the harder more accurate shots in but they were few and far between because Haye kept out of punching range for much of the fight.
Now sure there is something to be said for hit and not being hit but the really skillful boxers duck and dive right in front of their opponents, look at James Toney as a superb example of this, these boxers don’t run out of the range of the other boxer.
That said I gave the fight to Haye, but only just.
I hope Haye doesn’t attempt to fight the Klitschkos in the same “hit and run” manner.
Get in the trenches, then you can get the respect that a true champion is worthy of.

Heavyweight boxing is rigged. Its a staged contest and this utter debacle is proof positive.
If anyone seriously thinks that a man weighing 7 stones more than his opponent, was going to lose this after going the distance, for real, is deluded.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. Boxing is no longer a sport. I suggest putting on some tights and taking up wrestling !

  7. Billy says:

    Well done David Haye.

He deserved to win, anyone who thinks he should have stood and traded punches with such a big opponent is crazy.

To the people who watch boxing just to see blood and men getting battered to a pulp, there is more to boxing.

I wish David had shown a little respect to Valuev after the fight.

Haye did the right thing to get around Valuev.cos he(valuev) had the advantage of size while haye use his speed and that is fair.wit prevail over machismo.
