Andre Agassi, who has recently been at the centre of a drugs probe that occurred in 1997 has given his full support to world number 5 British tennis player Andy Murray. The Scottish 22-year-old, recently won his 6th title of the season by beating Russian Mikhail Youzhny 6-2 and 6-3 in the Valencia Open.
After losing four major titles this year, where he was favourite to prevail in the Australian and US opens, he has to feel somewhat disappointed, but Agassi said “He has a self-inflicting tortured spirit about him when he’s on the court.” “The last 18 months he’s learned how to use it. He needs to stay with it.”
Murray has been given the green light by Agassi, suggesting that he should keep playing which would make him get better and better. Agassi also predicted that he will win many Grand Slams once he perfects himself.
