Miss England Katrina Hodge: Former Removed after Brawl

Former Miss England Rachel Christie, who is the niece of Olympic sprinter Linford Christie, had to unfortunately hand her Miss England crown over this weekend, after she was involved in an alleged nightclub brawl last week.

According to reports from dailymail.co.uk, Rachel was alleged to have hit fellow beauty queen Sara Jones, while at a Manchester nightclub last Monday. Rachel was then arrested on suspicion of assault and let out on bail.

What was unfortunately bad news for Rachel in stepping down has turned into good news, for Corporal Katrina Hodge, as she is now the new Miss England. Katrina come runner-up in last year’s contest, so was the natural successor.

22-year old Katrina, who is now known as “Combat Barbie,” is due to register as Miss England today (Monday) and will then fly out to South Africa on Tuesday, in preparation of the upcoming Miss World competition.
