Simon Cowell saves Jedward

Entertainment took over from a singing competition last night, as Simon Cowell saved the Grime twins, to send them to the public vote.

One good thing was that, for the first time the twins dubbed Jedward were in a dramatic sing-off with Lucie Jones after being voted into the bottom two. Everybody new that once they were in the sing off, they would be voted off, wrong.

While Louis Walsh voted to keep them in the show, both Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole chose to spare Lucie, so it was all up to Simon to make the final decision, and boy did he surprise the audience when he saved the twins.

There was widespread booing when the crowd heard the brothers had survived, Lucie burst into tears. Dannii said: “I wish all the good singers in this singing competition the best of luck. It shouldn’t have happened.” Simon had said in the past that “if they win, it will be a complete and utter disaster. I’d probably sulk for about six months and I’d get on a very fast plane out of the country.”
