George Lopez Show: Gags Were Almost Incomprehensible

Last night saw the premiere, of George Lopez’s new late-night talk show “Lopez Tonight.” And it may not have done as well as he was hoping. According to bostonherald.com, it felt more like a rerun of “The Arsenio Hall Show.”

And apparently, George’s opening monologue was just a relentless volley of duds. Some of his gags were even described as incomprehensible. Then there was the joke about the longer you’re married, the darker the rooms becomes.

There was also a segment of the show where Lopez brought up two members of the audience, to watch some clips and then guess whether minorities lived up to their stereotypes. That segment was described as cringeworthy.
