Amid all the controversy from last week’s X Factor show, in which Lucie Jones and Jedward were put to deadlock, only to see the twins prevail. This has sparked controversy for the ITV programme.
Digital Spy reports that media watchdog Ofcom have revealed that 3,000 or so viewers complained about the X Factor result, after Simon decided to vote against the Welsh singer on Saturday. Even though Ofcom apparently “review’s every complaint it receives,” the watchdog has decided that it cannot investigate the outcome of such programmes.
In other X Factor news, Ronan Keating has asked for a ‘X Factor Tribute’ for his late bandmember and friend, Steven Gately who passed away in Majorca last month.
“There’s a couple of weeks to go and we’ll see,” Keating told GMTV when asked about guesting on the reality series. “If it’s done right, and it’s the right thing, we’d absolutely love to do it. It’s just how we do it.”
