Golden Glove Award 2009: Mark Buehrle’s latest accomplishment

Mark Buehrle, who is the 30-year old pitcher for the Chicago White Sox team, has had an amazing year so far in 2009. And now it appears that it has been made even better, when it was announced that he had been awarded his first Gold Glove of his career.

And according to nbcchicago.com, it has definitely been an insane year for Buerhle. To start off with he had the July 23rd perfect game, which is only the 16th in the history of Major League Baseball. And then there was the game after that as well.

In that game, Buerhle pitched no-hit baseball to the Twins, before finally yielding a hit late therefore stacking a nearly perfect effort, on top of his legendary perfect one in the game before. Oh and we can’t forget July 31st being declared as Mark Buerhle Day either.

So as you can see, Mark has had a very eventful year in 2009 and the Gold Glove Award, is the latest in a line of accomplishments this year. Well done to him, that’s what we say. What do you think of Mark Buerhle getting the Gold Glove Award?
