American radio and television host Lou Dobbs announced on his Wednesday night show, that he is leaving the CNN network. Lou had been working with CNN for nearly 30 years and was in fact, the last original anchor at the network.
According to cnn.com, Lou announced that last night’s broadcast would in fact be his last. He then went on to say how he was very proud to have had the privilege, of helping to build the world’s first news network and said he was grateful.

Lou then said that he had spoken extensively with the president of CNN Jonathon Klein, and had decided to release from his contract so he could pursue new opportunities. Lou is said to be considering a number of options now.
