Michael Jackson’s This Is It, one of the most talked about and watched movies so far this year has racked up a box office gross of $200 million so far, $61 million domestically, and $140 million worldwide.
Outside of America is where the film has really shone it’s light, with Japan ($ 27.2 million), UK ($ 14.3 million), Germany ($ 12.1 million), France ($ 12.1 million) and Australia ($ 7.2 million). The creative artistry of Kenny Ortega and his filmmaking team, along with Michael whom without this film would not have been possible have captivated audiences with some going to see it more than once.
In the concert-film, Michael showcases his extraordinary talents, from then and now, performing hits such as Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal and Thriller in never before seen video footage that was to accompany the songs performance. You will leave the cinema wondering what a show it would have been if Michael actually lived to perform it. Let’s just be grateful of the rehearsal footage, which still shows Michael in a magnificient light. He surely still had it.

Proud of you Michael.
Love you always, and you are always king of pop. No one else can even come close no mention of break your records.
In years to come, perhaps reasons will emerge from the rubble as to why a supernovic talent with a history of unparalleled giving and complex innocence, was systematically and wilfully humiliated and stripped of his dignity and spirit on the basis of astonishingly non-credible accusations – more importantly, why this was actively encouraged by a collusive and biased media for over 15 years. What was done to Michael Jackson must never be forgotten. Our loss, whether we know it or not – is incalculable.
The truth is coming.
