Well it certainly looks like the new “Paranormal Activity” movie has proved to be a huge success in the movie theaters, despite being made with a budget of only $15,000. According to eonline.com, the film has just passed the $100 million mark at the U.S. box office.
It may not be a “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” sized $400 million, but Michael Bay’s special-effects extravaganza didn’t just have a budget of $15,000. No in fact, it required at least $200 million to make things blow up and become it the huge success that it is.

The film “Paranormal Activity” has not only become the biggest cinematic success story of this year, but it is also the fifth-highest-grossing R-Rated film of 2009. It now only trails “The Hangover,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “District 9” and “Watchmen” movies.
