Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Manny Pacquiao: Fans call for fight

Manny Pacquiao pulled off one of the best fights of his life to go on and win the WBO welterweight title from his opponent, Miguel Cotto. Thousands at the event and millions at home watched the fight, which took place Saturday evening at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
After the fight there was only one thing on peoples minds, they wanted Manny’s next fight to be against Floyd Mayweather Jr. It is not certain if things will go the way that fans want, boxingscene.com explains this future fight in more detail. March 2010 looks to be tentative for Manny, so we will just have to see.
Pacquiao was asked about his thoughts on a future fight with Mayweather, as always he did not give anything away and said that it is down to his promoter, Bob Arum. If the fight was to go down, then there will be a few tough months ahead as promoters try to negotiate a deal.

ADVICE TO MANNY PACQUIAO: Don’t fight Floyd, who the hell he thinks he is. Fight Mosley instead for the unification of the welterweight belt. If Manny can beat Mosley, it’s time to retire and leave Floyd with no legitimate fighter to cash in.

Well the fight seems to be definitely on, two bookmakers (Will Hill & Bet365) have the fight scheduled for 31st December 2009 with Mayweather as the favorite to win and Manny with the outside chance. Mayweather is literally semi-retired type boxer with a great record against maybe much easier opposition in my opinion, can he comeback to beat a punch receiving and throwing Pac-machine from the Philippines? I think Mayweather will be in it just for the big pay check, Manny will bulldoze him in 6/7 Rounds. Money on Manny, if anybody needs a hand out of the 1st of 2010 give me a call..
I agree with Mike. Mayweather doesn’t come to fight. He will stick and move and hold, hoping the judges will give him the nod on points.
Mosley is quick and carries decent power. He is the by far the most capable of knocking out Pacquiao with a single punch!
Cotto came to fight in round one, but after feeling Manny’s power he must’ve had visions of Margarita again and became “gun-shy”!
Mayweather-Pacquiao will a boring fight! Mosley-Pacquiao, on the other hand, promises much more action to the paying public!
