Mike Swick vs. Dan Hardy: UFC 105 Results

As Mike Swick and British mixed martial arts fighter Dan Hardy headed into their UFC 105 fight last night, the thought on some people’s minds was that whoever won the fight, would then get a shot at George St-Pierre’s welterweight championship next year.

And according to reports from newsday.com, the person who has that shot is Dan Hardy, after he won the fight by a unanimous decision from the judges. Two of the judges were said to have scored the fight 30-27, with the last judge scoring it a 29-28.

Hardy started off very well, catching Swick with a good punch early on in the first round. And that punch appeared to set the tone for the rest of the fight, with Hardy keeping up the pressure throughout the entire bout and scoring points with power shots.

    Mike Swick looked like a Holocaust survivor, he was gaunt, had no real Pop to his punches, and appeared to be just moments away from Starvation, he really needs to go back to 185Lbs. As it was he brought no power in his bid to get to a more able bodied weight class.

    As for Dan Hardy, well he is a typical Brit full of himself, however he best be learning one thing George St. Pierre, will be all over him not just standing and trading punches,
    that is why GSP IS Pound for Pound the Best in all MMA, bar none!

    “As for Dan Hardy, well he is a typical Brit full of himself, ” and on what evidence are brits full of themselves ,if your going by bispings attitude then simply compare the attitude to matt hughes and brock WWE lesnar and lots of fighters from all over and there is little difference , hardy will probably not beat gsp but that by no means will halt his improving career ,i fully expected swick to beat dan and am a big mike swick fan ,but you gotta hand it to haRDY after sparking marcus davis so easily ,hes just the type of fighter the ufc needs . good luck to him (not that im a biased englishman )
