We all know that UFC events are very popular amongst mixed martial arts fans and last night’s UFC 105: Couture vs. Vera event, which took place at the Manchester Evening News Arena in England, was no exception.
The event already made history, by becoming one of the top 10 greatest first-day ticket selling events of all time, but according to reports from mmajunkie.com, the event also earned another place in the UFC history books.
And the reason why it earned another place in the history books, was because the event became the highest-attended European event in the history of UFC, with a record 16,693 spectators packed into the MEN Arena.
The figures were announced by Dana White, at last night’s post-event press conference. According to Dana’s speech, the previous European attendance record was 16,235, which was at the UFC 75 event held in London.
