It was UFC 105 last night, which was held in Manchester, United Kingdom. It was not the best night for great fights, but the Ross Pearson vs. Aaron Riley was a good one but only went two rounds, let us take a closer look at each round to see how the fight went.
Round 1 started fast with Pearson trying to connect with a few right punches early on, only a few connected though. Pearson was in fighting form and kept the pace up with a series of punches and kicks, he managed to get him to the cage and land a few nice kicks and punches to Riley’s body.
After some time the fight moved away from the cage, but Riley was still taking a beating. Riley then started to fight back, but it seemed too little too late as the blows were not doing a good enough job to deter Pearson. Fightline gave that round a 10-9
Round two started off much the same, with an aggressive Pearson attacking Riley, Pearson then got Riley in a great clinch and begun with an onslaught of hard shots with his knees. Nearer the end of the second round Pearson caught Riley with a flying knee attack, this caused a cut on Riley and the referee stopped the fight for the doctor to look at the injury.
The ruling was that Riley could not continue, giving the win to Pearson.
