The Future of Xbox 360 & Playstation 3

Ever since it’s release, the Xbox 360 has been marvelled at by consumers all over the world for its extraordinary graphics, gameplay and titles. This was also helped by its earlier release to that of the Playstation 3. But things have turned around in the last year.

When the Playstation 3 was originally released, it was slated for having no good games, even though Sony had the extra ammunition by saying that it’s online service was free. This still bared no threat to Microsoft, as they knew that Sony did not have the backbone behind them to support the free online service called Playstation Home.

How times change. Now Sony has had a few years to gather all it’s resources, and game developers jumping on the bandwagon, they have seemingly turned things around with releases such as Uncharted, and its sequel Uncharted 2, the impressive Killzone series, and soon to be Grand Turismo 5 which will have everyone, including Xbox 360 fan boys drooling with excitement. The only thing they still have to work on, is Playstation Home which lets be honest, Microsoft has to improve on Xbox Live too.

Although they have been banning consoles which has escalated to over 1million so far worldwide, Microsoft are not dead and buried yet, with the release of Project Natal.
