Michael Jackson’s Mowtown 25 Special Glove Up For Auction

The glove that Michael Jackson wore in his Mowtown 25 special, where he performed Billie Jean and moonwalked across the stage dazzling everyone in the audience, and viewers at home is up for sale for approximately $40,000-$60,000.

But the ‘holy grail’ of Michael Jackson memorabilia is set to go for so much more. Reports suggest that multiple owners are willing to gamble anything from $200,000 up to $300,000 for the Michael Jackson relic.

The lot of 80 in the MJ memorabilia consists mainly of items that the King of Pop himself gave to friends or family, and the added sum of all the items is valued around $80,000 to $100,000, but Darren Julien, president and CEO of Julien’s said this was only a “conservative figure” to generate interest.

The sale will go ahead at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York on Saturday, along with other rock and roll items such as a car driven by Jackson, David Bowie’s guitar and a selection of memorabilia from the Beatles. Collectors can also bid for an Elvis Presley ring, James Brown’s suits and Kurt Cobain’s finger prints, taken from the late Nirvana front man when he was arrested for trespassing while intoxicated in 1986 at the age of 19.
