Top Chef Final 4: Bocuse d’Or

Last night saw another episode of “Top Chef,” and the five remaining chefs took on their quickfire round and elimination challenge, before one of them got sent home. Then at the end of the show, we were left with the final four.

And according to eonline.com, the elimination challenge this week was inspired by the Olympics of culinary arts, the Bocuse d’Or. At the start of the episode, there was Brian, Michael, Kevin, Jennifer and Eli left in the competition.

The five remaining chefs were then asked to cook lamb or salmon, plus two garnishes, for 12 judges. And the judges included the famed Thomas Keller, who is the only chef that has 2 three-Michelin-star restaurants in the United States.

Kevin was the one that won that challenge, not only winning a trip to the “Top Chef” finale, but also winning $30,000 and a chance to compete in the Bocuse d’Or in France, in 2011. He will be joined in the finale by Michael, Brian and Jen.

That obviously meant that 25-year old Eli was the one eliminated from the competition. After he got the boot, Eli said that he thought that his family and friends would still be proud of him, for getting up to that point in the competition.
