Black Friday 2009: Gaming sales, Walmart vs. Best Buy

With Thanksgiving and Black Friday just about a week away, we are going to start comparing the gaming deals from two of your favorite stores, BestBuy and Wal-Mart, so you can stay one step ahead and not go rushing around from store to store to find the best deals.

Let’s start with the biggest games of the year, and it looks as though if you hold out just a little longer, you can grab Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for just $25 from Wal-Mart! BestBuy have no such deal, but they do have Left 4 Dead 2 for $34.99. Sadly, Uncharted 2 doesn’t seem to be on the list, but GTA VI fans can get the game for a measly $10.00 from Wal-Mart.

World of Warcraft fans can grab a copy of the biggest MMORPG ever for just $5 from BestBuy, who are also selling FIFA 10 on Xbox 360 and PS3 for $34.99.

Wal-Mart are advertising the fact that they have over 50 games available in store for just $7, over 40 games for $10, and over 30 games for $25, seems to be the cheaper they are, the more they have. Go grab them while you can!

BestBuy have the benefit of giving out more ‘bundle deals’ than Wal-Mart, so you can grab yourself a Sony PlayStation 3 Package with 120GB Console, Little Big Planet, and Ratchet And Clank for $299.99, and a Nintendo DSi Brain Age Bundle that comes in white or metallic blue with a $20 Gift Card.

So, will you be going out on Black Friday with the pretense on buying any of these magnificent deals?
