It appears that Oprah Winfrey’s recent announcement, that she is ending her famous talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 2011, has sparked speculation now as to who could possibly be a replacement for the queen of daytime talk shows.
When speaking to “Good Morning America” this morning, Tina Brown, who is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast, said “She has been one of the family for Americans for 25 years. The audience is just going to have to follow her right?”

Howard Kurtz, who is the media critic for the Washington Post, said that while the natural reaction would be to consider a replacement in the daytime talk show community, it won’t be as easy as finding another charismatic personality like Oprah.
But that didn’t stop Kurtz throwing out names of possibilities, such as Ellen DeGeneres, Katie Couric and Winfrey prodigy Dr. Mehmet Oz. Tina Brown on the other hand, suggested that first lady Michelle Obama should consider throwing her hat into the ring.
Who do you think could be a replacement?
