As we mentioned earlier today, Oprah Winfrey has recently announced that she will be ending her talk show on September 9th, 2011. Reports from people.com have said that Oprah intends to explain her decision, on Friday’s show.
And it now appears, that since the news was announced and it has had time to sink in with people, Oprah’s rivals, admirers and industry analysts are all coming in with their reactions. And it seems to be admiration, mixed with a sense of awe.

Martha Stewart pointed out the fact that Oprah is not retiring completely, and says that she will do another show. Oprah Winfrey’s best friend Gayle King, dismissed any thoughts of risks involved with her doing something new.
The news of Oprah’s decision was so big for fellow chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, who is the cover girl on the December issue of O magazine along with Oprah Winfrey, that she announced it to all her in-studio audience on Thursday.
