It’s round two for the former light heavyweight champions Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin, who go head to head this Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas for UFC 106.
In a fight that has attracted a lot of attention, both eyes will be fixed on both fighters as they prepare to prove they belong up there in the elite.
It has been three years since Ortiz last opposed Griffin which took place at UFC 59 in April 2006, to which Griffin lost his first ever bout in the UFC in a controversial split decision. But ‘Ortiz Vs Griffin 2’ features the best matchmaking mixed martial arts that is available within the UFC currently.
Ortiz and Griffin both have a lot to prove in the main event, with Ortiz willing to show that the extent of his surgeries have not brought him down, and they have turned him back in to his old self again. Griffin will want to re-establish himself as a prime contender for the light heavyweight title again after consecutive losses.
Other bouts confirmed are Karo Parisyan vs Dustin Hazelett and a clash of the titans between Anthony Johnson and Josh Koscheck.
