It was only last week that mixed martial arts fans, got treated to the UFC 105 event. And they were treated to another event last night, when the UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin 2 event took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, in Las Vegas.
And the main card event of last night was the light-heavyweight bout, between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin. And it was Griffin that was announced the winner by split decision, with two out of the three judges scoring him 30-27 and 29-28.

The other judge went 29-28 the other way to Ortiz, who appeared to secure some of his signature takedowns in the first two rounds. But Griffin proved to be the better man last night, connecting with some right-left combinations and low kicks.
