American Music Awards 2009: Adam Lambert Gives Racy Performance

When singer Adam Lambert took to the stage at last night’s 2009 AMA’s, he was aiming to stun the Nokia Theater audience, with the kind of controversy that singers such as Madonna or Britney Spears are known for generating.

And according to rollingstone.com, Adam did exactly that, by delivering a risqué rendition of his new single “For Your Entertainment.” He not only stunned the audience, but the thousands of people watching it live on ABC as well.

Before the show, Adam had promised to deliver a sexy performance and some could say that he did exactly that, but a whole lot more. Adam’s shocking performance included a very brief make-out session, with his male keyboardist.

Reports from Rolling Stone, say that the producers weren’t actually informed about Adam Lambert’s guy-on-guy kiss in advance. After the show was over, Adam said that the musician he kissed during his performance was a straight guy.

    Very disapointed – he has such an incredible voice, yet he put so much sex into the performance it diverted from his singing. He is going to have some clean up to do or lose sales from the album.

    Incredible Adam performance!!! Pre Idol and very Adam!! I loved it, it was “For Your Entertainment”!!!

    For those who thought there was to much sex in the performance, then obviously you haven’t followed Adam’s career pre-idol or otherwise.

    Adam is pure SEX. The performance went with the lyrics!!

    I don’t think Adam’s performance can be summed up in words.
    Instead – watch the video again, then watch the reaction from the audience. No-one was applauding

    believe me, adam’s performance wasn’t the only sex on the stage. there were so many women crawling around in skin tight outfits, thrusting their pelvis’ and booties into your face i thought my eyes would fall out. at least adam told everyone before hand that his performance would be “sexy and over the top”. the outrage towards adam’s performance is misdirected . why is it ok for the women, (sex objects) to prance around offering their bodies up for fantasy sex with the viewers and not ok for adam to serve it up too? too many self-righteous double-standard prudes out there.

    im 12 years old and other kids younger than me was watching the AMA’S, and i just think that he should not have ben able to do this on t.v. I think it was very wrong kissing his male keyboard artist. I know that he did say that his performance was going to be ” sexy” but i just didnt think he should have done that. I think thats its cool that he apperantley dosent care that he is sexually into guys.
