There were so many memorable moments at Sunday’s 2009 American Music Awards, but it appears that Adam Lambert’s controversial performance of “For Your Entertainment,” is probably the most talked about performance of the whole night.
Before the show, Adam had promised his fans that he was going to deliver a ‘sexy’ performance. But I don’t think that they were actually expecting the performance he did give, which included kissing a male keyboardist and simulating oral-sex with a back-up dancer.
And according to reports from buddytv.com, the ABC network, which aired the awards ceremony Sunday night, have just confirmed that they did in fact receive at least 1,500 complaints, about the “American Idol” runner-up’s risqué performance.
Dick Clark Productions, who are the producers behind the event, said that they were completely unaware of what Adam Lambert had planned. After the show, Adam admitted that his erotic stage actions during his performance were spontaneous.

Adam really disappointed with simulated oral sex act. Adam – everyone knows your choice for life – “rubbing it in peoples faces” (sorry for the pun) makes it disgusting rather than accepting. I love your voice, but that was inappropriate, especially for your first big show among your peers, fans, and former potential backers.
Decency? Is it dead.
Do we have to watch talent and trash at the same time?
If Lambert chooses that life style, I don’t want to know it. That’s why I have a remote control. Now that he has done this, who will try to top it?
I think that someone should publish all the sponsors of the show so that the decent community can convince them that if they allow this to continue, we the wholesome community will boycott them.
Who will publish the sponsor list?
