And as she came outlast night she further alienated the public by dumping lover Alex Reid on TV rather than breaking the news to him privately. The model formerly known as Jordan announced Alex was history by saying: “I’ve done a lot of reflecting and I think that it’s best I’m on my own. I just don’t want to be in a relationship.”

When asked by Ant and Dec when she decided to end her relationship with Alex Katie replied “I want to be on my own. I hope we can remain friends, as of when I came out. I’m not with him now.” However instead of catching the first flight home to see her children, she went straight on a champagne bender with Team Jordan, to begin planning her next PR move.

I’m a Celeb insider said, her attempt to regain fans lost after her bitter divorce from Peter had backfired.
