David Beckham suffers from asthma

David Beckham is probably the most famous footballer in the World. Not only because of his football ability, also his challenging haircut, his love of clothes, even his love of ex-Spice Girl wife Victoria.

Beckham has been making the news precisely for something he’s not famous for: being an asthma sufferer. On Sunday evening, just before extra time in Los Angeles Galaxy’s MLS Cup final defeat by Real Salt Lake, Beckham was seen using an inhaler. All around the World this has become big news, in the UK, media jaws dropped with equal surprise.

And I ask myself why, what is the problem; one of the greatest Englishman of all time has asthma big deal. Yes he kept it quiet, and now we know why. People are already saying, should Beckham go to South Africa because of the high altitude? And is he fit enough to cope at his age? No wonder the London lad kept it quiet, all I can say is yes we need David in the World cup.
