Haydain Neale, the lead singer singer of Juno Award-winning R&B band Jacksoul passed away this Sunday, after a seven month long battle with lung cancer. The singer died at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital, and was annouced on his website.
Although the band, and the singer were successful in such things as being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and winning a SOCAN Award for the R&B song of the year, a Canadian Urban Music Award for songwriter of the year and a 2007 Juno for best R&B recording for mySOUL, he did also have set backs and faced serious head injuries in 2007 when his scooter was struck by an oncoming car.
The funeral for the R&B singer is planned for this week, but it is acknowledged that it will be a private family funeral, so fans willing to do so can send condolences to haydainnealefamily@gmail.com.
An album, completed before his death, and Jacksoul’s fifth will be released on December 1 entitled SOULmate, and all proceeds will go to the Haydain Neale family trust.
On behalf on In Entertainment, we send our condolences and are thinking of the family and friends through this tough time.
