It all started with WPIX trying to do something special on thanksgiving for football fans, however it has backed fired on them as they replaced March of the Wooden Soldiers a decade’s old tradition on thanksgiving.
WPIX swapped classic movies with a daylong slate of football-themed programming. John Zeigler, Channel 11’s director of marketing said “The thought was to make it a celebration all day long; I don’t think we knew how big that was going to be, we figured, we’ll run this thing Christmas Day and it’ll be OK.”
How wrong can they be as there was a viewer uprising ensued, including a Facebook page dedicated to protesting the move, they did make partial amends Tuesday, announcing the movie would be shown at 9 a.m. Thursday on LATV, a Spanish-themed station that has an affiliation with Ch. 11.

Absolutely not and I’m surprised as hell that a lot more hadn’t made themselves heard. Talk about Family, values, tradition, and then stand around and do nothing while this goes on? Heck, I guess you’ll all get what they give you and suck it up, ya bunch of sissy’s.
