Singer Aaron Carter, who was one of the contestants on this season of “Dancing with the Stars,” appears to have got himself into a spot of tax trouble. And according to buddytv.com, he is ready to face the consequences.
21-year old Aaron, who is the younger brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, says that if the accusations are proven valid, then he is ready to face the consequences. And that even means going to jail if he really has to.
But in the process, he is also advocating changes in the law regarding children who earn money. When talking about it, Aaron said that he is working on passing a law to protect kids from parents who want to beat the system.
And apparently, he is enlisting the help of fellow “Dancing with the Stars,” season 9 celebrity Tom DeLay. Carter fired his manager-mother back in 2003, alleging that she stole $100,000 from him, and then filed for emancipation.
Carter’s representative has pointed out that this kind of “mismanagement,” is the reason for the more than $1 million in back taxes that Carter allegedly owes the IRS. Aaron is now working on a speedy resolution of the matter.
