Adam Lambert subjected to double standards

When the CBS network decided to have Adam Lambert as a guest on their “Early Show” on Wednesday morning, they may have been hoping to placate viewers who were already upset that Adam had his invitation withdrawn by “Good Morning America.”

But as a matter of fact, CBS’s booking has led to further complaints now, from those who believe that Adam has been subjected to double standards. This is because they blurred the part where Adam was kissing a male keyboardist, from his AMA performance video.

They managed to blur that, but when it came to Madonna and Britney Spears kissing at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, they didn’t blur that scene out at all. GLAAD issued a statement recently, saying that CBS had been unfair in its treatment of gay performers.

Jeremy Kinser, who is the arts and entertainment editor at The Advocate, said that CBS’s action has made them look kind of silly. He went on to say that they decided to put him on after GMA had canceled, yet they didn’t show the scene that has everyone talking.

  1. GMA on Crack says:

This is a strange message to send. It’s ok to beat a little girl up, black her eyes, bloody her face, humiliate her nationally… In fact GMA will take you with open arms!! But a gay kiss, well that’ just disgusting to them… GMA is endorsing Domestic Violence and censoring kisses.
