NBA stars LeBron James and Kobe Bryant who play for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers respectively have been named as the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week for the games played from Monday November 16 to Sunday November 22.
LeBron James averaged a league-best 34.3 points on .583 shooting from the field with 5.8 rebounds and 9.3 assists which is a team high. It helped the Cleveland Cavaliers grab a 3-1 week, and James was the only player in the Eastern Conference to score more than 30 points in each of the games. James also managed to record his first ever 40 point game as the Cavaliers beat Indiana 105-95 on November 20.
Kobo Bryant on the other hand, led the LA Lakers to a 3-0 week, with an average of 29.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and a team-high of 6.7 assists. Although Bryant managed 29.8 points, he was still second in the Western Conference but this didn’t stop him grabbing the award, as he also moved passed Kareem Adbul-Jabber for second on the Lakers all-time franchise scoring list with 24,176.
