Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon Break Up

According to reports from people.com, actor Jake Gyllenhaal and actress Reese Witherspoon, who co-starred with Gyllenhaal in the 2007 movie “Rendition,” have split up recently, although no reasons have been given as to why they split.

People first started talking about them being an off-screen couple, shortly after they appeared in “Rendition” together. And by the summer of 2008, the rumors of 33-year old Reese and 28-year old Jake being a couple, were confirmed.

By fall of that year, Reese was talking about Gyllenhaal, and how supportive he was. She also said how happy she was in life. Things still appeared to be rosy with them only last month, but there was obviously a problem somewhere.
