The Texans game against Indianapolis Colts devolved into a familiar holiday tale the Texans and their fans know all too well. With Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, at center stage.
Manning, chipped away at a 17-point Texans lead that was wiped out by 28 unanswered points in the second half. Giving a 35-27 win to the Colts. Dunta Robinson the Texans defensive back said after the game “We play so well and then he converts a third down and it’s here we go again. That’s part of his greatness.”
Colts were held to 22 first-half snaps by the Texans’ offense, and a defense that picked off two Manning passes, However with the offense twice failing to convert touchdown opportunities and settling for field goals, Texans rookie linebacker Brian Cushing knew what could happen in the second half.
The Colts held the ball for 10:52 in the third quarter, pulling within 20-14 on their first possession on Manning’s 4-yard TD pass to Wayne; he added three scores in the fourth quarter. To read more on this game go to chron.com.
