Tiger Woods fined for his car accident

It appears that Tiger Woods will be fined for careless driving over his mysterious car crash in which he smashed into a fire hydrant and a tree in the early hours of the morning.

The world’s number one golfer, will be fined up to $164 and receive up to four points on his driving license, however he will not face criminal prosecution, police said. It is the equivalent of a ticket for a traffic violation. The investigation into the incident is now over according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Florida Highway Patrol Major Cindy Williams said: “Mr Woods is at fault in the crash. Any person operating vehicle is required to drive in a careful and prudent manner and not to endanger the life, limb or property of other persons.”

The crash happened at about 2.25am on Friday and left Woods unconscious for several minutes and suffering from cuts to his face. To read more on this story go to telegraph.co.uk.
