Susan Boyle’s debut album “I Dreamed a Dream” will be in a major battle this week, to keep her Number one spot on the Billboard 200 albums charts, against Andrea Bocelli holiday tunes “My Christmas.”
Industry experts believe that Boyle is going up against Bocelli for the top slot and each artist’s album could sell between 375,000 and 400,000 copies by week’s end on Dec. 6. “My Christmas” debuted at Number 3, and for the last few weeks has settled at No.2. If Andrea reaches No. 1, it will be his first chart-topping set.
“I Dreamed a Dream” smashed the Billboard 200 this past week when it topped this year’s best sales frame for an album this year, selling 701,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. R. Kelly’s new album, “Untitled,” will be in the hunt for a debut top 10 spot.
