The lead singer of rock band Weezer, was apparently hospitalized on Sunday after the band’s tour bus crashed in upstate New York. According to reports from latimes.com, Rivers Cuomo and another passenger were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.
40-year old Cuomo was said to have been complaining of rib pain. Cuomo’s wife and daughter, who were also on the bus and a fifth passenger, were said to have been uninjured in the accident, which happened just after 7:30 am on Sunday.
The driver of the bus said that the back end had slid on ice, after it had snowed about two inches the night beforehand. The bus was then said to have gone into the median and hit some reflective posts, before jumping the guardrail and ending in a ditch.
