Theo Walcott Signs Book Deal With Random House

England star Theo Walcott has reportedly signed a book deal with Random House Children’s Books. Reports say that the four-book deal will be based on Theo’s own football experiences as a schoolboy.

Theo is due to be working with a writer to produce a series of books for children. He said that books have played a big part in his life growing up.

He is due to launch his first book in April 2010. The first two titles are said to be about a boy who shares Theo’s childhood nickname, TJ at a new school. Theo said that a number of his experiences as a footballer will be relived by TJ.

Philppa Dickinson who is the managing director of Random House Children’s Books, has said that. “We are thrilled to be publishing his books.” Do you think that Theo’s books will do well?
