Shaq retiring: Claims are false due to spiked Twitter Topic

Following on from our earlier report, which told you about the rumors about NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal who had apparently retired, we have an update on this to give you now, which states that these rumors are false.

As reported from the Daily Inquirer, the term ‘Shaq Retires’ has been all over the search engines on the internet, but it is actually the result of a spiked Twitter topic, courtesy of CollegeHumor.com.

As we pointed out earlier, it makes no sense for Shaq to retire mid-season with the Cavaliers, especially when it is going pretty well for the big man.

We advise you to not read too much into these rumors, as an official statement will probably be released later on in the day, to clear this up once and for all.
