UFC 107 had a mixed bag of fights last night, some went the distance while some did not even get passed the first round, which you can read more about in a play-by-play results post that we did a little earlier. One fight that promised much but did not deliver was Frank Mir vs. Cheick Kongo.
According to Examiner, even before the fighters started their fight you could see the tension between both of them, the ref had asked the two fighters to touch gloves, but they chose not to. Instead they decided to stare intensely at each other.

When the fight got underway it was Kongo who came out fighting first, however his shots missed Mir, but his opponent did not land any either. Mir then took another shot and this one landed nicely and Kongo goes down hard. Mir then takes this as an opportunity to get him in a deep guillotine.
The fight only lasted 90 seconds as Kongo was out cold. The fans feel robbed but Mir is not worried about that, he has just beat his opponent in a fair fight.
