Ghostbusters 3 News: Sigourney Weaver Reveals Potential Plot

While speaking to Channel 4 in the UK to promote her latest movie Avatar, Sigourney Weaver also spoke about another big movie that is on everyone’s mind; Ghostbusters 3.

There has not been much news recently, and especially after the games release no news has come about at all. But Sigourney has changed that, and has revealed some potentially big plot spoilers for us.

When speaking to the UK channel, she said that “I’m afraid to say Ghostbusters 3 is happening, I hope people are excited about that.” Well, I don’t know about you, but I certainly am.

She goes on to say that she does not know if she will actually play a part in the film, even though she did read the script. But what she can tell us is that her son Oscar, who was in Ghostbusters 2, has grown up to become a Ghostbuster. She also says that Bill Murray will be making a comeback… “he’s a ghost.” she said.

Even with Ghostbusters 3 not due out until 2011/2012 the earliest, this is probably the most concreate evidence we have had about the film in a long time. Whether it be true or not, we can only wait and find out.
