Joe McElderry To Become The New Zac Efron

Last night saw Joe McElderry became the X Factor 2009 winner with 61.3% of the final vote. Joe received his £1million recording contract, and is expected to release his first album next September.

Reports say that Simon Cowell is will fly Joe to the US in the new year to sign a deal, which will make Joe around £5million. Sources say that Simon has already been contacted by three US TV networks and also a number of Tinseltown film giants.

Apparently 18-year-old Joe is in top position to take over from Zac Efron who made a great success following on from High School Musical. Do you think that Joe has what it takes to make it big in the US?
