Actor Grizz Chapman, who plays Tracy Morgan’s sidekick on NBC’s award-winning show “30 Rock,” is facing a real life drama at the moment, which is definitely not a laughing matter. According to people.com, he is in need of a kidney transplant.
Chapman is appearing on “The Dr. Oz Show” tonight, where he will reveal that he is battling severe hypertension, and needs a kidney transplant. But he has been told that he has to lose 75 pounds first, to become a viable candidate for organ transplantation.

The 6 foot 10 actor says that he is ready, for the fight of his life. “Whatever I can do for the longevity of my life, I’m going to do” Chapman told PEOPLE. But he has admitted that he is very nervous about getting a kidney transplant, describing the prospect as little scary.
