Avatar Director James Cameron Update On ‘Battle Angel Alita’

With all the hype floating around about the new James Cameron film ‘Avatar,’ we have barely had time to take the film in our stride when he announced his next project; Battle Angel.

The new film, which is an adaptation of Yukito Kishiro’s manga series ‘Battle Angel Alita,’ is a futuristic sci-fi manga about a female cyborg warrior, that is rescued from a scrapheap beneath the floating city of Tiphares by a cybermedic expert in the 26th century.

Cameron gave a brief update about the new project he is planning by saying “We’re not that far down the line” “We have a very good script and we’ve done a lot of production design… It’s pretty much just add water and we’re ready to go” he said.

Cameron did then go on to say he is not sure if he will ever make the movie, but is still interested in the concept. It is thought that “The Dive” will probably be his next production.
