A new four-night special holiday event show called “The Sing-Off” began on NBC last night and for those of you who didn’t see it, it’s an American Idol-esque talent show but instead of individuals, there are groups performing.
And what makes it even better is that they don’t sing with accompaniment, they just make their way through all the songs without any instruments at all. The show is produced by Same Wiesman, and Nick Lachey is the show’s host.
But according to gather.com, it is one of the judges that have helped catch the show a bit of attention. Singer-songwriter Ben Folds, who is the former frontman of the Ben Folds Five, is one of the judges on this new show.
